Introduzione
Introduction
Il sito test di geofisica da pozzo PITOP, di proprietà dell'OGS, è stato progettato e sviluppato come struttura di riferimento per lo studio e la sperimentazione di metodi geofisici, tecnologie di perforazione, tecniche di misurazione, tecnologie all'avanguardia e strumenti da pozzo in condizioni realistiche.
The borehole geophysical test site PITOP, owned by OGS, was designed and developed to serve as a framework facility for studying and testing geophysical methods, drilling technologies, measurement techniques, cutting-edge technologies and borehole instruments under realistic conditions.
Located in the municipality of Travesio, province of Pordenone (north-eastern Italy), covers an area of approximately 22,000 m2 in the foothills of Eastern Alps.
OGS currently operates in this borehole facility in cooperation with European research institutes and industries in the framework of specific projects. The site is part of the European Research Infrastructure for Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilisation, Transport and Storage (ECCSEL).
